Elementary Education
and Early Childhood Education
Elementary
Education and Early Childhood Education are two options available to
students pursuing Bachelor of Science degrees in the Richard W. Riley College
of Education at Winthrop University. The curriculum in both fields
includes the exploration of current literature. Students also benefit from
hands-on experiences including visits to local schools. A new curriculum,
revised in 1997 to focus on a new conceptual framework, Teacher as
Educational Leadership, prepares Winthrop's graduates for the
ever-changing world of education.
