Camp consists of morning sessions that begin at 9 a.m. and last till noon, and afternoon sessions that begin at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. Each session will cost $60 per student for Winthrop faculty, staff, and Macfeat students and $70 for others. Extended hours are offered for an additional charge of $15 per week which include; before camp 7 a.m. - 9 a.m., during lunch 12 p.m.-1 p.m., and after the afternoon session 4 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Summer camp will include two age groups; the little big stuff camps for 5-7 year olds and the big stuff camps for 8-12 year olds. Each session has a different theme/topic that will be explored throughout the week including activities, crafts, and field trips. Swim lessons will be provided during the morning sessions and afternoon sessions will have an hour of free swim time in the West Center pool.

For more information about the themes and details of the camps please pick up a camp brochure after Spring Break from the physical education office (216 office suite). Registration begins May 1st and will be accepted until July 1st, but availability is first come first serve. We will not be advertising this camp off campus so please share this information with anyone you think would be interested in attending camp. All camp personnel will be undergraduate or graduate students from the department of physical education and kept small so campers can be provided with a meaningful and educational summer camp experience. To get more information on our summer camp please call (803)-323-2123, e-mail currane2@winthrop.edu , or stop by the West Center office 216F.
