About TEPC

THE TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM CONSORTIUM

The Teacher Education Program Consortium was initiated by the Bauman Foundation and is sponsored by Winthrop University. Its purpose is to help advance a comprehensive, experiential, and humanistic approach to teacher education. Toward this end, the TEPC provides a unique forum for communication and collaboration among pre- and in-service teacher education programs which share the following goals: 1) To foster and integrate personal and social, as well as academic development. 2) To promote an experiential/reflective approach to teaching and learning. 3) To teach pre- and in-service teachers through educational experiences similar to those teachers will provide their students.
