Services:
The Consortium serves its participants primarily through the WWW by providing,
on line, access to the following resources:
A Program Directory with program
descriptions as well as monthly updates of program activities and concerns.
Programs are cross listed alphabetically and also by geographic location,
type of program, and specialization.
Current Issues BulletinBoard, organized
according to topic.
Curricular Material Resource Center,
including: lesson plans, syllabi, projects, and assessment methods; visual
presentations of exemplary projects; video tapes of master classes, lessons
and critiques; plans for effective learning environments, etc.
Research Materials Resource Center,
including: articles, annotated bibliographies, research reports and abstracts,
as well as research projects within the consortium itself. Materials are
organized according to topic and cross-listed.
Individual and Organizational Resource Center,
including addresses and descriptions of: consultants, other services, foundations
and federal grant programs, national educational organizations, etc.
Special Interest Groups: informational
and organizational resource centers focusing on specialization areas such
as arts in education, literacy, math and science etc. Special interests
are cross-referenced to information sources and web-sites within the discipline.
Consortium Curators and Board of Directors:
those responsible for selecting, editing, entering and organizing material
submitted to the Consortium as well as for directing Consortium activities.
These services are presently
being established and will not be fully operational until the end of 1996,
at the earliest. They will be continually updated by participants as well
as by the Consortium Curator and Board of Directors.
