The student will be able to:
- State that the sun produces its own light, while the moon reflects light
from the sun.
- Describe the positional relationship between Earth and the moon and their
positional relationship to the sun.
- Observe and record phase changes of the moon over time.

| Procedures: |
Activities before the computer:
- Students will be taught about the phases
of the moon in the classroom.
While at the computer:
- In the computer lab, students will
access the website and do the activities on the site.
- Students will observe and record the
phases of the moon for one month (they can use the Virtual Reality
Moon Phase Pictures on the site to get data in case of inclement
weather).
- Students will complete the online quiz
about the phases of the moon.
After
the computer
- After the computer the student will use
the data to make a poster.
