Summary of Lesson: The students
will create PowerPoint slide shows to
present information about a Spanish speaking
country to their class.
Lesson Details
Objectives:
TSWBAT: Use PowerPoint to create a presentation
about a Spanish speaking
country.
TSWBAT: Evaluate their knowledge of a Spanish speaking country.
Setting: computer lab– 40
minute Related Arts class

When students enter lab, have them sit
at their own computer, not in groups.
Review PowerPoint with students by demonstrating
basic functions, including creating new slide, adding text, and inserting
clip art, etc.
Allow students time to create a practice
slide, answering any of their questions.
Have students move into their groups,
using one computer per group.
Students will then take turns creating their slides using the designs
they created last week. Remind them to save their work to their disk!!
Hand out self-evaluation sheets and
allow students to complete them while waiting to add their slide to the
presentation.
Take up labeled disks as they leave.

Technology Specific Activity/Project Description:
The teacher uses a projector to demonstrate using PowerPoint. The students
then work in groups to create a 6 slide presentation, using rough drafts that
they
had previously written.
Assessment: Student participation
is assessed by evaluating participation
within the group, completion of their
individual slide and their own self-
evaluation.
