| Objectives: |
- The student will be able to analyze important national symbols that express
American values and principles.
- The student will be able to obtain information by visiting web sites.

| Setting: |
Computer Lab or Multiple Computer Classroom |

|
| Procedures: |
- Introduction of assignment.
- Class will brainstorm ideas about patriotic symbols. What are they? What
virtues do the represent? Etc.
- Students will work with a partner or in a small group.
- They will view the PowerPoint presentation; and will discuss the questions
on the slides excluding the very last question.
- Students will employ the writing process to answer the final question
on the Power Point presentation.
- The class will participate in a debriefing on patriotic symbols and share
their essay with the teacher.

- The student will view a Power Point presentation and gather information
at specific web sites as assigned by the teacher.
