Assistive Software

ViaVoice - Voice recognition technology that lets you control your computer with your voice instead of a keyboard or a mouse. You talk, your computer types! Or your computer talks and you listen!

Write: Outloud - is the easy-to-use yet powerful talking word processor with a talking spell checker

Co: Writer - Word prediction software that works with any word processor pro-gram to make the writing process easier.

Writing w/Symbols - picture or text word processor program that displays symbols or other graphic for each word you type.

K - 12 Preview Software

We have arranged for the ITC to be a preview center for many K-12 software publishers. This means we get many software titles at a discount price.

Resources Productivity Software

QuickTime VR (Virtual Reality) - Quick-Time VR is Apple's award-winning photo realistic cross-platform virtual reality technology that makes it possible to explore places as if you were really there. Take pictures with a digital cam-era and then "stitch" them together for a 360º panoramic view. Finished movies can be placed on the web or in PowerPoint.

Aspects - Software for collaborative writing, editing and discussion in a Mac environment.

Hardware

iBooks & Airport - The Airport Base Station Combined with the mobility of iBooks let you set up a wireless network for Internet access and file sharing al-most anywhere.

Side Keys - Allows teams to use a computer application simultaneously in the classroom. Side Keys wireless transmitters provide remote input up to 50 feet away from the computer. Used in conjunction with Quiz Works software teachers can create a new fun way to have students practice material on any subject. Teachers or students author their own questions the computer randomizes the quiz to create a Jeopardy like quiz game.

Digital Camcorder - used with Final Cut Pro or iMovie software on a Power Mac G3 you can edit and manipulate digital video then insert them into PowerPoint presentations, Web sites, or play them from a video tape deck.

Digital Microscope - Look at microscopic images magnified on a computer monitor-- magnify images 10x, 60x, even 200x Use the unit in hand-held mode to check out the stuff around you--even yourself. Get creative with the paint tool--add text, draw on images, even add digital stamps Assemble video clips and stills into your own movies Create time-lapse movies--watch a crystal grow or a butterfly emerge from a cocoon.
